Good afternoon
Christian Eriksen’s collapse at Euro 2020 brought home the horrible reality of a sudden cardiac arrest and highlighted the fact that this could happen at anytime and to anyone.
The question is: would you know how to respond?
Would you recognise the onset of a sudden cardiac arrest?
Do you know the actions to take?
Do you know how to perform CPR?
Would you be able to locate the nearest defibrillator?
UK Coaching and Sport England have funded an eLearning course that everyone can access FREE OF CHARGE. It will guide you through how to respond quickly to a sudden cardiac arrest.
The course is available at:
https://www.ukcoaching.org/courses/elearning-courses/sudden-cardiac-arrestSome of you maybe aware that four seasons ago a young player was hit in the chest by a ball and stopped breathing. He was only saved by the fast action of club members and the fact there was a defibrillator on site.
What if this was you, or your child, or your team mate?
We would encourage all your club members to take this course and to make sure you know where your nearest defibrillator is located.
